Yevgeny Zamyatin: A Bibliography
The best sources are the original sources: Zamyatin's own writings. Thankfully, much of Zamyatin's output has been translated into English by Mirra Ginsburg and others. Although many of these volumes are out of print, they are rather easily obtained through the Advanced Book Exchange as well as good public and university libraries:
- The Dragon: 15 Stories by Yevgeny Zamyatin, translated by Mirra Ginsburg (Random House, 1966)
- A Soviet Heretic: Essays by Yevgeny Zamyatin, translated by Mirra Ginsburg (University of Chicago Press, 1970)
- We, translated by Mirra Ginsburg (Avon Books, 1972)
- We, translated by Gregory Zilboorg (1924, republished in 1952 by Dutton Books)
In addition, the following secondary studies are of value:
- Brown, Edward James. Brave New World, 1984, and We (Ardis, 1976)
- Burns, Tony. "Zamyatin's We and Postmodernism," Utopian Studies 11:1 (2000): 66-90
